ANFF has formalised a collaboration with NASA that aims to deliver new electronic technologies and to find uses for advanced materials – this umbrella agreement provides a mechanism for ANFF to facilitate collaboration between Australian researchers and NASA.

Friday, 19 July 2019: ANFF-NSW has secured > $8.3M of additional NCRIS/ANFF funding with the signing of a new contract between UNSW and the Australian National Fabrication Facility Limited (ANFFL). The agreement also formalises the addition of The University of Sydney to join with UNSW within a merged NSW Node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF).

Dr Ian Griffiths has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), commencing this quarter. The decision was announced by ANFF’s Chairman and Board on 8 July 2019, following an extensive four-month search.

The Minister for Education and Training announced on 15 May 2018 that an additional $36.2 million will be invested in the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) to maintain the ANFF network’s position at the forefront of scientific exploration.

This year the Australian National Fabrication Facility and the Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Research Facility will be jointly holding an Annual Research Showcase on 22 and 23 November 2017 at the Australian Institute for Nanoscale Science and Technology, Sydney Nanoscience Hub.
